Surplus Donations

Surplus property, computer related only, is posted as it becomes available from the Benton County IT Department. Donations are made to qualified organizations and cannot be made to individuals. Qualified organizations include public agencies, sheltered workshops, or nonprofit organizations located within the geographical extent of Benton County, Oregon.

Available items for donation will be listed on this page for no less than 7 days and claims are treated on a first-come, first-served basis. Qualified organizations outside of Benton County, Oregon may request surplus items after 2 weeks if no organization within Benton County, Oregon has made a claim. Claimed item(s) must be picked up by the organization or shipped at the organization’s expense.

If your organization would like to claim one or more items, please send an email to itsurplusdonations@co.benton.or.us and include:

  • The name of your organization and full mailing address
  • A statement explaining how you are a qualifying organization
  • Item(s) and quantity desired
  • Contact first and last name, email, and phone number

Available Surplus as of 9/12/2024

  • Large amount of USB wired keyboards
  • Large amount of USB wired mice

Please be advised that surplus computers will not include hard drives, operating systems, or any software products. Hard drives are removed as part of our security processes.

Computers also may or may not contain a software that is bound to the bios. This software is called Secure Access and was used as a VPN client. Due to the nature of the software’s self healing capabilities, laptops may try to re-install said software. Flashing the Bios may resolve this but is not guaranteed.
